Bathroom Floor Waterproofing Cross Section Technical Diagram
technical diagram · waterproofing details · architectural section · construction guide
I am a civil engineer. I need to explain wooden floor waterproofing details to the contractor step by step. The middle wooden floor is made of 7" x 3.5" wooden rafters. On top of rafters, 1" thick wooden planks have been fixed. For a toilet floor, on top of these wooden planks there will be marine ply to be laid. On top of this marine ply, 2 layers of bitumen membranes are to be laid. Make sure the membranes will also be applied on side walls up to 6" height. In the next step, show me the drains for the shower area and wash basin. These drains should also be covered with bitumen. On top of the bitumen, there will be concrete 2" thick with steel mesh. Above the concrete there will be tile laid with tile adhesive. And finally show the sanitary wares. Composition optimized for a 1:1 aspect ratio.
