Risograph Night Sky Shoji Moon Watcher
risograph · screenprint style · moon window · night sky
A contemporary risograph art print in a balanced 3:4 portrait composition, depicting a cream-and-tan Shiba Inu in silhouette profile beside an open round circular shoji window (marumado). Seated in the lower portion of the frame, the dog's distinct triangular ears, arched spine, and tightly curled tail are crisply outlined against the illuminated circular opening. Inside the moon window, a bright waxing crescent moon floats amidst stippled midnight-indigo constellations and delicate drifting cloud ribbons. The risograph medium provides distinct overlapping layers of navy blue ink, warm golden soy ink, and dusty coral red, embellished with authentic drum misregistration and subtle halftoning dots. The upper architectural framing provides elegant vertical negative space, balancing traditional Japanese interior geometry with modern graphic design for a gallery-ready art print.
