Behind the Scenes Miniature Disaster Film Production Stage
behind the scenes · miniature set · practical effects · soundstage
A wide panoramic behind-the-scenes photograph of a massive practical-effects soundstage recreating a miniature coastal city disaster set modeled after the Barcelona shoreline. In the foreground, meticulously detailed miniature models of coastal boulevards, harbor docks, and waterfront buildings are inundated by realistic churning water released from controlled hydraulic tanks. In the expansive background, professional film crew members operate camera cranes, adjust large overhead HMI lighting rigs, monitor control consoles, and manage hydraulic plumbing and drainage systems, contrasting the believable miniature devastation with the technical engineering of a cinematic practical-effects movie production.
