A textured impasto oil painting in a 9:16 vertical aspect ratio, depicting an expansive aurora borealis undulating across an alpine Arctic pass. Heavy palette knife strokes sculpt thick layers of viridian, cadmium green, and rich ultramarine oil paint in dynamic curves through the midground sky. In the lower third, rugged mountain shoulders and jagged rocky crests emerge with chiseled strokes of raw umber, Payne's grey, and titanium white over windswept snowdrifts. Visible canvas tooth and tactile ridges of drying pigment catch subtle raking light, lending physical relief to the frozen scene. The upper vertical third intentionally transitions into quiet, deep prussian blue night with softer, diffuse auroral mist, providing serene negative space for a phone display. Expressive romantic landscape aesthetic with deliberate, cold-toned brushwork celebrating Arctic stillness.
