Interpret Ridgecrest, California, through a dimensional cut-paper artwork in a 9:16 portrait composition. Build one continuous landscape from carefully layered matte paper: gravel-colored foreground, sparse creosote forms, low town buildings, receding desert ridges, and a tall open sky. Use shallow physical shadows between layers to distinguish the settlement from the surrounding valley, with the town occupying the central third. Choose sand, muted peach, sage, slate blue, and warm white papers with subtly fibrous surfaces. Include a narrow road that guides the eye upward through the buildings toward the mountains. Keep shapes simplified but geographically plausible, avoiding skyscrapers, giant cacti, or fantasy landmarks. Present the finished piece straight on as a complete portrait artwork, without visible tools, frames, or studio surroundings.

Construct a handcrafted paper-cut illustration of two black and white tuxedo cats in a geometric urban garden, arranged in a 3:2 landscape format for a wide gallery print. Show one cat walking across the foreground and another sitting on a low rectangular planter behind it. Build their coats from clean black and ivory paper shapes, preserving white bibs, paws, and expressive feline silhouettes. Use layered sage leaves, dusty pink walls, and ochre paving to establish depth through real-looking paper edges and delicate cast shadows. Keep every element within one coherent scene rather than separate panels. The overall effect should be playful, tactile, and graphically refined.
