create a funny irish 1872 caricature image of the following: ASSAULT AND RIOT. Mary Roohan, John Roohan, James Roohan, Patrick Walsh, and Michael Mcafferty were indicted that they, with others, at Tullavogy, parish of Belleek, did commit a riot and assault on James Monaghan. Mr. Collum. appeared for the Crown, and Mr. Graham for the prisoners. James Monaghan was placed in the box, and in reply to a question from Mr. Col... said—“It is settled; it is a family affair.” Mr. Graham—I have a letter from the Rev. J. B. Tuthill, the neighbouring magistrate saying so. This woman in the dock is his mother-in-law. The dispute was about a cow. Mr. Graham said he had a letter from Mr. Bloomfield, another magistrate, saying the matter had been left to arbitration and had been decided upon. The several prisoners were then bound over to keep the peace. Source: Impartial Reporter and Farmers’ Journal, Thursday, 27 June 1872. Composition optimized for a 1:1 aspect ratio.
